MANILA, Philippines — The country’s first Virtual National Trade Fair, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (DTI – BDTP) in collaboration with the DTI Regional Operations Group, ended last February 2, 2021, with positive results for the local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The virtual event was managed by Global-Link MP Events International, Inc. through its newest platform, VX Events. VX Events was launched last year, 2020, in July. This is Global-Link’s way to continue serving its clients, exhibitors, and the people who join trade shows to generate business amid the global crisis.
A total of 112 MSMEs and 5,473 visitors joined the event including international visitors from 31 countries. During the seven-day run of the event, MSMEs were able to showcase their products in the following categories: fashion accessories and wearables, food and beverages, gifts and souvenirs, health and wellness, and home and living.
Aside from the virtual trade exhibit, webinars about entrepreneurship were also offered on the first three days of the event and were presented by trusted speakers from different organizations in the country such as Lazada, , Unilever, Design Center of the Philippines, and many more. The three-day program of webinars garnered thousands of views on the virtual conference hall and in the social media live streams. This implies that a large number of Filipinos aspires to start their entrepreneurial ventures.
