First ASEAN Furniture & Furnishings Virtual Expo Gathers Buyers from 43 Countries

A total of 69 companies and 4,970 trade buyers participated at the first-ever ASEAN International Furniture and Furnishings Show VX (AIFFS VX) which was held virtually on March 9 to 18, 2021.  Organized by the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC), the virtual expo has provided an opportunity for industry players, suppliers, buyers, and companies to meet and network with top-level professionals and stakeholders from the industry wherever they may be.

Booths were complemented by virtual showrooms which gave visitors a convenient way of viewing the latest collections from the comforts of their homes or offices. “Given the current conditions, having a digital/online presence is not only beneficial for every business, it is a necessary tool for business to continue to flourish despite our limitations. And this was made possible when we launched AIFFS VX! This show has been the instrument of every business to step further during this challenging time,” shared Nicolaas De Lange, Secretary General & Committee Chairman, ASEAN Furniture Industries Council.

First Virtual Trade Fair for Filipino MSMEs held via VX Events by Global-Link MP

MANILA, Philippines — The country’s first Virtual National Trade Fair, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry – Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (DTI – BDTP) in collaboration with the DTI Regional Operations Group, ended last February 2, 2021, with positive results for the local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) 

The virtual event was managed by Global-Link MP Events International, Inc. through its newest platform, VX Events. VX Events was launched last year, 2020, in July. This is Global-Link’s way to continue serving its clients, exhibitors, and the people who join trade shows to generate business amid the global crisis. 

A total of 112 MSMEs and 5,473 visitors joined the event including international visitors from 31 countries. During the seven-day run of the event, MSMEs were able to showcase their products in the following categories: fashion accessories and wearables, food and beverages, gifts and souvenirs, health and wellness, and home and living.

Aside from the virtual trade exhibit, webinars about entrepreneurship were also offered on the first three days of the event and were presented by trusted speakers from different organizations in the country such as Lazada, Gcash, Unilever, Design Center of the Philippines, and many more. The three-day program of webinars garnered thousands of views on the virtual conference hall and in the social media live streams. This implies that a large number of Filipinos aspires to start their entrepreneurial ventures.
